Ongoing contact with birth family

In most adoptions there will be some form of ongoing contact with birth family. This will either be done via direct contact – usually with siblings – or by indirect contact via our Letterbox service.

The contact Team can offer you support and guidance with letter writing either over the phone or by visiting you in person.

If you struggle with reading or writing, please let us know and we will help you to read and write your letters. We also offer a translation service if the letters you send or receive need translating.

If you’re interested in adoption, need additional support, or just want to ask us some questions, we’d love to hear from you.

You can also speak to an adoption worker for an informal chat, and we can then send you an information pack.
