PATHways is a support service for Adoptive parents and their adopted child/children. It is an Adoption UK, nation-wide project, funded by the Community Lottery Fund over five years. It works with adoptive families to create bespoke support plans, to include:
The goal is to help empower and enable families, creating the conditions for improved health and family wellbeing.
PATHways is an early to middle level intervention support service, aimed at helping families before they get to a breakdown point and is not suitable for families in deep crisis or facing disruption. PATHways can work alongside support services being provided by the local authority in order to help families from all angles if required.
Referrals can be made directly to the post adoption team and will reviewed for their suitability by the PATHways Coordinator who will meet with the family to complete the referral process
