In North Wales Adoption Service we have a Life Journey Work social worker whose role it is to help improve the provision of, content of and use of Life Journey Books for children going for adoption.
This is done by providing support to social workers, adopters, foster carers and children in order to achieve the best Life Journey material possible for that child or young person.
The Life journey work is a crucial element of adoption and it is fundamental for children, young people and their families to understand their stories and for there to be an ongoing open conversation for the child and their family about their story throughout their lives.

You can also speak to an adoption worker for an informal chat, and we can then send you an information pack.
